|IPOH -Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. ("P1"), South East Asia’s leading 4G broadband provider together with its partners held a one day seminar and networking session here today to empower small and medium enterprises ("SMEs") to be more competitive locally as well as globally.
"Perak is a key market for P1 and we definitely would like to create more value added services for the SMEs here. Ever since we’ve established ourselves in Ipoh with P1 4G wireless broadband here back in June 2009, we have had fantastic feedback from users. Therefore, we hope that through this collaboration with our partners, we’ll be able to empower the local business community in particular and help them expand their business further," said Michael Lai, Chief Executive Officer of P1.
The seminar and business networking session is also aimed at bridging and supporting the growth of the SME community, as well as empowering them with the right set of tools and information to help them level the playing field.

P1’s 4G wireless coverage in Perak include Ipoh, Lumut, Sitiawan, Seri Manjung, Ayer Tawar, Bandar Seri Iskandar, Taiping, Tanjong Malim, Kampar, Menglembu, Teluk Intan and more. Meanwhile, P1 fiber services in Ipoh introduced in July this year expands about 34 000 home passes to date.
The seminar was conducted together with Malaysia SME™ media group alongside partners namely Centre for Executive Education, University Tun Abdul Razak, Trend Micro, RICOH Malaysia as well as VA Partners. P1’s collaboration with these partners is a testament of the company’s commitment to empowering local SMEs.
