How to keep your P1’s network secure?

Follow the steps below to change the default network name (SSID) and WiFi password (WEP) to your preferred network name and password.

Your default SSID and WEP can be found at the bottom of your modem.


STEP 1:
Connect your 4G home modem to your computer with the included Ethernet Cable.
STEP 2:
Open any internet browser and enter this URL: http://10.1.1.254. Then, key in Username: admin, and Password: admin123
STEP 3:
Click orange “Networking” button on the top right. Then change to “User Defined” under “Use Default” section then click “Next” button.
STEP 4:
Under “Common Setting” section, type in your preferred SSID (WiFi network name). Next go to “Security Setting” section, choose “WPA2-PSK” under “Security Mode” tab. Then key in your preferred WiFi password (minimum 8 characters) in “WPAPSK” tab.
STEP 5:
Click “Apply” button. The modem will reboot automatically in 10 seconds for the new security configuration to be effective.


Follow the steps below to change the modem default network name(SSID) and WiFi password to your preferred network name and password.
STEP 1:
Connect your DX825 modem to your notebook through the Ethernet cable. Open an internet browser and enter this URL: http://10.1.1.254. Then key in USERNAME : admin and PASSWORD : admin123 as shown in above diagram.
STEP 2:
Once entering DX825 main dashboard page, click on the Wi-Fi tab to enter the modem Wi-Fi status section.
STEP 3:
Next, click on the Wi-Fi Settings tab to enter the Wi-Fi Settings/Configuration page.
STEP 4:
Under “Wireless Settings” section of WiFi 2.4GHz, type in your preferred SSID at the “Network Name(SSID)” field.
STEP 5:
Next, go to “Security Types Setup” section, choose your preferred Authentication mode(WPA2-Personal or WPA/WPA2-Personal Mixed Mode) under the “Authentication” tab. Then key in your preferred Wi-Fi password(minimum 8 characters) in the “Key Pass Phrase” field. Click “Apply” button to save the new settings for the new security configuration to be effective.

Note: DX825 modem default Wi-Fi Authentication mode configured is “WPA2-Personal”. The steps for configuring new security settings for 5GHz Wi-Fi are the same as described above.
