WHAT IS A SIP TRUNK?
A SIP Trunk replaces traditional fixed PSTN lines with PSTN connectivity over an IP network via a SIP termination provider. A SIP Trunk can carry voice traffic that is equivalent to several E1 or PRI links.

HOW DOES SIP TRUNKING WORK?
SIP trunking channels voice call traffic from an IP-enabled PBX to a P1 softswitch and vice-versa via an IP network using the SIP protocol.

DOES P1 NGV SIP TRUNKING SERVICE ALLOW FOR INBOUND CALLS?
Upon registration, you will be assigned either a fixed number and/or a TSOIP number (0154) from that allows inbound calls to be made.

CAN I SELECT MY NUMBERS WHEN SIGNING UP FOR P1 NGV SIP TRUNKING SERVICE?
Yes. You are allowed to select a number or numbers of your choice based on a list of available numbers. An administrative fee may be charged when processing such requests.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Any IP-enabled PBX device can be used to enjoy P1 NGV SIP Trunking service.

HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR P1 NGV SIP TRUNKING SERVICE?

WHEN CAN I START MAKING OR RECEIVING CALLS?
Once all the necessary configurations have been made to your IP-enabled PBX and a SIP Trunk has been successfully established, you can start making or receiving calls.

CAN I MAKE OR RECEIVE CALLS WHILE SURFING THE INTERNET?
Yes, you can make or receive calls while surfing the internet provided you have sufficient IP network bandwidth. Each voice call requires a bandwidth of 30kbps.

DOES P1 NGV SIP TRUNKING SERVICE ALLOW FOR CALLS TO EMERGENCY NUMBERS?
Yes, you can establish calls to emergency calls. However, P1 does not guarantee that calls can be established to emergency numbers in the event of an IP network service disruption or power outage.

WHAT ARE THE CALLING RATES/PLANS THAT ARE AVAILABLE?

IS THERE A QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS) ASSURANCE?
Calls established entirely on P1’s network (data + voice) has assured QoS. P1 does not ensure Quality of Service (QoS) if the SIP Trunking service is accessed from other IP networks that are provided by other Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

IS THERE A CREDIT LIMIT TO CALLS MADE VIA P1 NGV SIP TRUNKING? IF YES, HOW MUCH?
Your credit limit is determined based on the service plan that you are signed up for and also based on your previous phone bills in the past 3 months. P1 will set your credit limit at our own discretion.

WILL I BE NOTIFIED WHEN I AM REACHING MY CREDIT LIMIT?
You will be notified when you are reaching 70% and 90% of your credit limit.

CAN I MAKE IDD CALLS VIA P1 NGV SIP TRUNKING SERVICE?
Yes, you can make IDD calls and enjoy very competitive IDD rates to major cities such as China, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, USA and more!

WILL I BE CHARGED FOR A SERVICE PLAN UPGRADE?
No you won’t. Service plan upgrades are available for free.

CAN I DOWNGRADE MY SERVICE PLAN?
Yes you can. However, there will be an administrative fee of RM50 per downgrade. You are only allowed one downgrade per month.

HOW CAN I TERMINATE P1 NGV SIP TRUNKING SERVICE?
You can contact our Enterprise Account Manager or our Enterprise Customer Careline at 1 800 282 228. Please provide us 1 month notice prior to terminating your account.
