Registration

1.3  WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO REGISTER?
 
Individuals with valid IC or passport number and a valid hand phone number are eligible to subscribe for the services.

1.4  HOW DO I REGISTER?
 
Please follow the simple online registration flow here and you will be surfing in a matter of a few minutes.

1.5  WHAT DO I NEED TO REGISTER?
 
All you need is an Internet connection and a WiFi-enabled laptop, PC, or PDA.

1.6  WHAT DO I GET WHEN I REGISTER?
 
You will get your user ID and password (sent via SMS to your registered phone number) at the end of the registration.

1.8  WHAT SPEEDS DO I GET?
 
Users will be able to enjoy the maximum speeds offered by the P1 access points. The available speeds will be distributed evenly among the number of users associated on to that particular access point gateway.

1.9  WHAT DOES IT MEAN, UNLIMITED??
 
Unlimited means users can login to the service for unlimited number of time and download unlimited amount of data within the subscribed package duration (e.g. 24 hours a day). However, there will be an acceptable use and fair usage policy where unusually high data transfer rates will not be allowed in order to ensure optimal service quality and fairness to all users.
Devices

1.10  WHAT DEVICE DO I NEED?
 
All you need to have is any device that supports 802.11b or 802.11g wireless LAN access. This could be your notebook, and etc.

1.11 DO YOU OFFER ANY OTHER DEVICE?
 
No, P1 does not require any other device to enjoy the services.
Usage – Internet Access

1.12  IS IT FASTER THAN DIAL UP? ISDN? ADSL?
 
P1 Hot Zone is faster than normal Dial up (56Kbps) and ISDN Dial up (128Kbps). The speeds are equivalent to speeds offered by other ADSL providers but with the added advantage of Nomadic capabilities (no wire installations).

1.13 CAN I USE THE SERVICE ANYWHERE?
 
No, you need to be in a dedicated P1 Hot Zone area. P1 will be constantly adding new sites. Therefore, please keep checking www.p1.com.my for the latest Hot Zone additions. The latest Hot Zone coverage can be found here.

1.14 CAN I USE THE SERVICE INSIDE MY HOUSE?
 
The service is designed to be used in public areas, and not to be used in homes.
Maintenance

1.15  WHERE DO I CHANGE MY USER ID AND PASSWORD?
 
You will be able to change your password via the online Self-Care.

1.16  I HAVE TROUBLE WITH ACCESSING THE INTERNET. WHO DO I CALL?
 
You may call us at 1300 03 1300 (Working hours: Daily from 8.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m) for all Internet Access Problems.

1.17  WOULD YOU COME TO MY HOUSE TO DO TROUBLESHOOTING FOR ME?
 
No, as this is a plug and play service and not a residential product, all troubleshooting will be done through our experienced customer care line, 1300 03 1300 (Working hours: Daily from 8.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m).
Cancellation of Service

1.18  HOW DO I TERMINATE OR CANCEL MY SERVICE?
 
Hot Zone is a service offered in different packages (e.g. 1 day, 7 days, and 30 days). At the end of purchased packages, the services will be terminated. No action is required.

If you want to terminate the service before the purchased duration ends, please call us at 1300 03 1300 (Working hours: Daily from 8.00 a.m.to 11.00 p.m.). However, no refund is made for unused portion of purchased service duration.

1.19 DO I HAVE TO PAY ANY PENALTIES?
 
No, there are no penalties if you want to terminate the service earlier. However, no refund is made for unused portion of purchased service duration.
