With everything built into the DX-230, users no longer need to purchase modems and routers separately. Everything is contained in one sleek and modern design,” P1 CEO, Michael Lai commented.

“The DX-230 is more than just a modem. It functions as a smart mini communications hub in a single plug and play device. You have cutting edge 4G broadband delivered to you via WiMAX, you can setup a complete home network with the latest 802.11n WiFi standard without the need to purchase additional devices and then there’s the standard wired communications via LAN. On top of that, you can plug in a standard phone for voice communications. This one neat box is feature-packed with the latest in 4G wireless communications and best of all it’s offered to our subscribers for free,” Lai said.

Together with this latest 4G modem, P1 is also introducing a very exciting package. P1 VO1CE can easily be activated to allow subscribers to make voice calls to anywhere in the world from as low as 10 sen per minute.

“Our data shows that Malaysian broadband users are becoming more and more data hungry. In the span of less than a year, P1’s average monthly data usage per subscriber has increased by about 30 percent. Looking at this trend, we want to make high-performance 4G broadband as affordable as possible.

P1’s mission is to deliver broadband for all. One of the ways to achieve this is to make it affordable. With the new pricing and introducing more exciting 4G devices into the market, we hope to be an active participant in supporting the Government to meet the country’s 50 percent broadband penetration target by the end of 2010,” Lai concluded.

The DX-230 and new pricing for the P1 W1MAX Home Pro plan is available nationwide now at any authorised P1 reseller.
